I am trying to visualize an external flow field by plotting iso-surfaces of Q-criterion, colored by velocity magnitude. However, even though I am sure "display/set/contours/render-mesh?" is 0 and "display/set/filled-mesh?" is 1, I am still seeing mesh wireframes instead of solid bodies. What am I missing? Draw mesh is also not checked.
Edit: I should mention that I am aware when dealing with 2D contour plotting, this kind of mesh will show up if you check filled but then also select a surface. You have to check filled and leave the surfaces tab blank to show them all. However, this doesn't work in 3D because it has to have a surface to plot on, so I select my iso-surface I made of Q-criterion. I figured it out. In case anyone else is wondering, if you de-check "Global Range" in the display window then the mesh goes away. No idea why. Last edited by smartsoldier; March 29, 2015 at 11:18. |

Similar happens to me, I am trying to draw the Q criterion in Fluent. But it actually works in CFD-Post. contorno pipe.jpg
