Hi,
I created mesh in Fluent meshing (19.2) and checked skewness to be 0.971. I imported this mesh into Fluent (19.2) where there was warning the skewness is 1 ! I struggled with this also in ANSYS Meshing: in ANSYS meshing skewness was 0.98 and after importing into Fluent it was higher 0.99. What is the reason Fluent shows another skewness (usually higher) than in meshing? How shall I be sure about mesh parameters before importing to Fluent? |

I figured out the reason: parallelization. Parallel distribution leaded to skewness 1, serial mode leaded to the same skewness as in the Fluent meshing - 0.971.

Well, I came across a case where even in serial mode was quite different skewness than in meshing. Parallelization does not have to be the answer.
