I'm using v18 Fluent. In the Display Mesh UI, I don't see the Cell Zones listed for display. I'm want to know how to display the Cell Zones so I can know where they are located in the mesh.

Thanks in advance,
M Ridzon

If I display the mesh and click on pieces of the model in the graphics window, the only items highlighted in the tree outline are Boundary Conditions (e.g., inlet, wall, outlet, interior, etc.). None of them will show me which Cell Zone is which in the Cell Zones tree outline, when clicked on. Is there another way to accomplish this? Is there something I'm missing?

With the help of a colleague, I figured it out. You have to create a "surface" of the Cell Zone(s) first. Then are then available for picking in the Display Mesh GUI. In the v18 Fluent ribbon, click Setting Up Domain > Surface Group > Create > Zone. In the Zone Surface GUI, click the zone(s) of interest and click Create. They'll then show up in the Display Mesh GUI for picking and display.

If you later want to delete the zone surface(s) you created, go back to Setting Up Domain > Surface Group > Manage. In that GUI, click the appropriate surface and choose Delete.
