Hello guys,

I am working on cooling performance of some heat exchangers using in the buses. Model is consist of radiator, intercooler, oil cooler and fan. To review their performance has been prepared a wind tunnel. Air enters to the domain and run across a grill and then go through intercooler, oil cooler, radiator and fan, respecitvely.

Outlet side in the model has been extended more than inlet side. But pressure gradient at the outlet is more than at inlet. That is why, both pressure outlet and pressure inlet has backflow.

I have still not activated porous cell zones.if flow is desired and has a regime, then they wil be activated as porous cell zone.

Is there a way nor any way to eliminate backflow in that case?

Could it be ok if I decrease gauge pressure at the outlet (below zero gauge pressure) ?

Best Regards,

You can extend your outlet length to eliminate backflow.
