Suitable FLUENT version
 

Hello specialists.

Which ANSYS FLUENT version is suitable for the system with following specifications ?:
1-Windows 7
2- Installed memory(RAM): 1.00 GB

3-System type: 32-Bit
4-Processor: AMD Athlon dual core 64 X2 2.1GH

Is current version consistent with Windows 7 and Win32 bit system & 1.0 GB RAM ?

Or , should I change my operation system& hardware?

It does run on Windows 7.

But you really should get new hardware. I'm surprised you can even get windows to run on 1GB of RAM. Your hardware is super outdated. I'm even more surprised that the hardware is still running.


A new smartphone probably has more throughput.

As for the minimum hardware specs required, I'd consult their website (https://www.ansys.com/solutions/solu...atform-support). But, understand that this is geared more towards professionals who work for companies that can drop a few grand on a workstation. For frame of reference, I sometimes run ANSYS on my laptop (16 GB RAM, dual core i7-6500U processor), but I only due small meshes and simple cases. Anything more complicated, and your hardware becomes a bottleneck (it's no fun trying to calculate a solution for two straight months).

I'd have to agree with what LuckyTran said, you are in definite need of an upgrade, dude. I don't think I would recommend even looking at ANSYS until you do.
