Dear all,

I need a Fluent solution data in the wake of 2D oscillating airfoil. The data is in the form of rectangular grid points (number of points 550). So, I created 11 rake surfaces in ANSYS Fluent with 50 points in each rake (picture attached) and exported the solution data (ASCII format) for these locations after every 10 time steps. Also, the points for data export do not coincide with my nodes.

During some solution exports, fluent randomly "ADD" one extra point (sometimes more then one) which I do not need and the location of this point is also entirely random so i cannot just delete the last point.(example of two exports is also attached)

My question is how to cater this? How do I make sure that only data at desired location is exported?

Regards

Play around with checking or unchecking the node box. What some people call a node, other people call a cell center and vice-versa

You are using dynamic mesh right?

If you want to fix the x,y,z of all the probe locations then use points and not a rake macro. The macro's are tied to the mesh and updated whenever the mesh is updated.
