merge-threads: unable to merge selected threads

I make the mesh with ICEM and read the mesh in FLUENT run the simulation but my wall is being separated to multiple pieces. and i cannot combine them. this is a scanned air nasal of a dog. this is my first project. i need to find a way to assign the inlet outlet and wall without having this problem constantly...

In order to avoid the problem you should go back to ICEM and assign all the walls to the same part. Export the mesh and read it back in fluent. At this point they should all be part of the same boundary, rather than being split into several ones.

i am a newbie at CFD, but i did exactly as you said. assign the boundaries with individual surafes. I did 7 of them. only this mesh has issues. when i read the mesh with fluent, somehow fluent is separating the surface to multiple surfaces.

i have no idea, and i cannot figure out. i am sharing my stl file link. if you have any way to figure out the problem, it is greatly appreciated.

You should group all the surfaces into the SAME part, not have them separated into 7 different ones. If you did this I am afraid it's hard to tell what is the reason without further details

no, i did not clearly explain. i have seven different files that i had to mesh and run the simulations. 7 of them meshed perfectly with icem. they were read by fluent and i did not have any issues with any of the meshes.

This specific .STL file that i meshed with ICEM keeps being separated when i read it with fluent. i do not know how to fix this issue. i assign inlet, outlet, and wall. mesh it. everything is great in ICEM, but as soon as i put this file in FLUENT, wall is being separated three four different pieces.
