Hi,
I am running a simulation in Fluent and plotting some variables meanwhile. In the first few iterations, the values I get are too high, so I can't see any difference in the evolution of the variables afterwards (the look totally flat). How can I reset those plots? I've tried to close them, but when they reopen, the show the previous values too. Thanks in advance! |

I think you may be able to reset them by resetting the residuals using the following TUI command:
/solve/monitors/residual and then answering yes to the question. It should do the trick Rob |

You could also set a maximum value for the y-axis

I don't know the command to clear the data during runtime. But closing Fluent and then reopening it will also clear plot data.

Ok, thank you very much for your answers. I managed to do it with your tricks.
LuckyTran, that didn't helped... When I opened Fluent once again, the plot restarted where it had finished the last time with the previous data loaded. |

Residuals are stored in the case file. Monitors are not. When you said you were plotting variables I assumed you meant solution variables. If you restart the simulation then the residual plots stay and monitor plots are cleared. Resetting residual statistics resets the residual plots but does not reset monitor plots. Anyway now you have both answers and know how to reset a plot in the future. |

Would you share the trick because I have the same issue and closing the Fluent to reset the plot is not practical?
Thanks Aziz |
