As the Expressions are created from Report Defnitions, you have to create first a Report Definition (avarage temperature of a surface or volume). Than you can create an Expression like ReportDefinition1 * ReportDefiniont2 * 1000.

Thanks Mkuhn, yes i tried it just the way you have suggested. I created two report definitions i.e (area weighted average--Absolute pressure at inlet & outlet) and then i went to report definition to give an expression for their difference to calculate pressure drop but the option for Expression remains freezed but in version 18 and 19 its working just the way you said.

@alexander Z, thanks , can you please explain it a bit more? I mean how should i go for it for calculation of pressure drop i.e for taking pressure difference between inlet and outlet?

as I said, make these first steps, than goto User-defined -> Custom Field Function Calculator and create an expression using your definitions

best regards

in calculator i can give the formula for the calculation of pressure drop but i want to give an expression for the subtraction of already created inlet pressure and outlet pressure report functions. which i tried as well but i dont know why it just didnt work. I might be getting it wrong. Can you please attach some of the screen shots if its possible.
Thanks in advance
