Best way to simulation the evaporation of a gas in Ansys Fluent.

Hi everyone.

Imagine a metal strip where you apply a solvent. The main idea is to heat the metal strip by IR-radiation, thus, performing a drying and curing process in an atmosphere mainly consisting of the solvent vapors. I want to know how I can simulate the solvent vapors that "come out" of the metal strip.

I am thinking to simulate the evaporation like a mass source term. I have the properties of the species in gas phase. What I am thinking is designing a solid body that represents the metal strip and applying in the surface of the metal strip a mass source term which is constituted by the properties of my solvent in the gas phase.

How to apply a mass source term in the surface of a body in Ansys Fluent, specifying the mass flow corresponding to the evaporation?:confused:

I don't want to use multi-phase and transient analysis for now.

Best regards.

Dear friend, I faced exactly the same problem. Could you find a solution to this?
