Hello everyone!
I´m doing an FSI simulation of an aircraft wing. I'm using Fluent 19.1 in parallel (linux cluster) for the CFD and Matlab for the coupling with the structural side. It's a dynamic simulation, so, basically, what I do is execute Fluent in batch mode, from Matlab, calculate one time-step, export the loads, exit Fluent, calculate the deformation, execute Fluent, deform the mesh using UDF, calculate one time-step... and so on. The problem is that for every time-step the case and data have to be saved, what takes some time since the mesh has 4.6 million cells. So, the question is: which should be the best data file format to spend the least time as possible reading and writing? I tried with .h5 format, but I'm not sure if there is a real improvement. In addition, I found that the graphic contours aren't available afterwards (can anyone confirm this?). Thank you!! |
