Problems in Boundary Condition. Cannot change the Inlet and Outlet TYPE

4 Attachment(s)
Hello to all.

Im using ansys student 19R2 and trying to solve a 2D model of a hose suction from a compartment to another

Im having a problem with the boundary condition in Fluent.

So I named selection my geometry defining the walls, interior flow domain, inlet and outlet in Ansys Mesher as the picture attached shows.

When I start the Fluent, The Boundary Conditions was confusing to me, because that never happened in others simulations.

Many other boundary zones appeared besides the ones I named selection in Mesher I donīt know why, and the main problem for me is that the Inlet and Outlet was assigned as interface Type, and I cannot change to Velocity Inlet and Pressure Outlet.

I aprecciate the help in advance.

And srry for the basic english.

Best Regards,

Victor Cautela.

Fluent automatically creates interfaces between overlapping regions when there are multiple cell zones. To break the interface and recover the two walls:

In Setting up Domin, go to Interfaces >> and then Mesh...
Delete the interface.

With those steps Im now able to change the type of the zone in Boundary Condition.

But I still have new zones created automatically by Fluent in addition those I create in Name Selection.. Is there any way to solve this?? Is this a Problem when Calculate my simulation?

Thanks
