Fluent simulation of cavitating control valve

Hi All

I am new to this forum. Currently, I am working on an academic project for which I need to simulate a control valve in cavitation to understand the damage pattern. Could anybody give me some pointers as to how to start the process? I have the valve assembly (body component without actuator) and I need to simulate different opening positions (as the valve is throttling) so thinking I would need to do dynamic meshing in this case.

It would be really helpful to get some guidance so I can start the work without wasting too much time. Thanks in advance.

if the boundaries are not moving you dont need dynamic mesh , you can write a udf which will enable closing and opening of a certain boundary at different time-step. If you want to show how the valve opens , then u need udf
