How to apply boundary conditions based on previous results
I'm working on a solid-fluid heat transfer problem - imagine a tick plate being heated from one side and being cooled with water from the other. It is a transient problem since the heat load oscillates in time, while the fluid stream remains constant.
I would like to simplify my model by removing the fluid altogether and applying a convection boundary condition on the surface that has contact with the water; for which I need the temperature of the water (a known value), and the heat transfer coefficient, which is a result from Fluent. The heat transfer coefficient is not constant through the surface (it changes a lot), so, is there a way to take the heat transfer coefficient results from fluent and map them into a new model to apply a convection boundary condition? Thanks |
The way to apply a boundary condition is to use a PROFILE.
See if it is possible write a profile of the heat transfer coefficient. If not, you may have to do another step. |
Thanks, it worked perfectly.
