Hi guys!

First time here posting, but with a couple of months learnign from all of you, so thanks in advance.

I need to simulate a module wich is like a hollow box (1m wide, 2m tall and 0.2m depth), open bottom and top surfaces to 1atm, with only the front surfacs under solar radiation, the other 2 sides and back surfaces are isolated.

I'm really starting with ansys fluent, so everything that i have done comes from basically what i have seen on youtube tutorials mixed with the ansys user's guide.

I need help to make a propper setup, this is what i do:

General: Steady
Models: energy ON, Viscous LAMINAR, Radiation DO and SOLAR LOADING
Solution methods: coupled, body force weighted, second order, second order, second order, secodn order, pseudo transient
Solution initialization: hibrid
Run calculation: fluid time scale user specified, 1 pseudo time step. 400 iterations.

The residuals doesnt converge as they should, and even though the results are kind of logic, it would be awesome if someone could help me through this setup, if there is a better one for this example.

Thanks in advance!

Are you turning ON gravity and modelling air as an ideal gas (variable density)?
In my experience, results for natural convection might change quite a lot if you don't have these options enabled.

Yes, gravity is enabled, and I'm also using air as an ideal gas. The rest of the setup should be ok?? Thanks...
