Hi,


I would like to make a simulation of a flat plate solar collector but I think my geometry is not working well. When I use interface to the contact regions after appr. 120 iterations the energy grows up. When I'm not using interface the result is always 5000K temperature the top of the absorber plate. I one mass flow inlet, one outlet and adiabatic wall expect the heat flux wall. I just draw the absorber plate and tubes that you can see on the following picture:

Can someone explain how to do it right?

If you have a certain heat flux, why dont you use only one pipe?


(Inlet massflowrate)/(pipe quantity) will be your massflow rate.
The heat flux remain same value for the wall B.C.

I would like to validate this geometry but I'm new to Fluent. So it's not an option for me to modify the number of tubes.
