Finding out Thrust and Moment of Verical Axis Propeller
I am doing a transient simulation of 6- bladed vertical axis propeller in Ansys Fluent to calculate the Thrust and the Moment.
The calculations are all going smoothly. My Thrust and Moment forces varies from 100KN to 700 KN over a cycle of 0.75 seconds (since the hub of the propeller is rotating at 1/0.75 rps). How do I calculate the Thrust and Moment (time-averaged) using Ansys. I have enabled Data Sampling with an interval of 1 time second. |
Fluent will then compute the statistical properties for the reports you have setup at the specified time intervals and make that information available to you for post processing within Fluent. See Section 29.14.4. Postprocessing for Time-Dependent Problems of the Fluent User Guide for more information. Quote:
