Hy,

I am writing a bachelor Thesis on Fluent. It's about a reactor simulation and I want to plot the average concentration of a specie over the lenght of the reactor.

I have create this one, but I one some sort of a curve, which Show the average concentration over the reactor.

You need to create a line passing through the middle of the reactor along the vertical coordinate. You can create it either using Surface > Line or using Surface > Iso-Surface. Then use xy-plot to plot the concentration on this line.

Thanks for the answer! But that is not exactly what I wanted. With such type of a curve, I will plot the concentrationin the middle of the reactor. The average concentration must be not and will be not in the middle of the reactor, because I have a porous bett at the bottom. So first I need to find where the average concentration is and than to plot it over the reactor lenght. I have plotted some sort of a area concentration(see first post), but I want to have a curve with the average values of the concentration over the lenght. Maybe some sort of an average Surface integral?

Average is not at a location; it is over a location. I suppose what you want is circumferential averaged data over axis, where axis represents your vertical coordinate. Fluent provides direct facility for that. Use TUI commands

However, this works only on surfaces and not on cell domains. So, there are three solutions. Either you can use all the interior surfaces.

Second you can create multiple surfaces, more the merrier, that span the height but at various positions in other directions, e.g., middle surfaces at various angles if geometry is a cylinder. Then you can report averages on these surfaces. Fluent reports these in text files. You can combine these and plot a single curve.

Last option is to use UDF.
