Krutika Appaswamy is on a distinguished road
I am trying to setup premixed combustion with multiple inlets and a coflow. How should the materials be specified for each inlet?
Also, Should the backflow progress variable be 1?
Thanks!

vinerm will become famous soon enough
Material is not defined for inlet but for the cell zones. And for premixed combustion, everything is premixed. The only difference across the boundaries could be the fraction of unburnt material, defined using progress variable.

At the outlet, progress variable should be defined as per the expected conditions. If it is expected that the combustion will be complete by the time fluid reaches the outlet, then use a value of 1, otherwise, a value lesser than 1. Do note that this value is used only in case of flow reversal, not otherwise.
