tahtawy is on a distinguished road
Hello

How to choose the appropriate timestep size and max iterations / time step in fluent when doing a transient analysis?

vinerm will become famous soon enough
Time-steps depends upon at least two things - the objective of the simulation and the case setup, i.e., is it multiphase, or dynamic mesh, or combustion, etc.

usually user want to use the biggest time step with least amount of iterations to get the result with certain accuracy level. Accuracy level may depends on what vinerm has mentioned
