Flow depth variation problems

Hi,
I am actually simulationg a rectangular open channel flow with side orifice.
I have a constant Main Channel discharge.
The Depth of the Channel is 60 cm.
But I need to alter the Water Depth (Y=40 cm, 45 cm, 50 cm, 55 cm etc ) in the channel which is to be kept constant through out the length.
How can i give conditions for creating the depth parameter for the above problem?

Water Depth

By varying depth, do you mean different cases with different depth values? If yes, you can either use TUI command

def bc

to set the depth as per the boundary. In newer versions, most likely this would be a parameter and you can set it as a parameter with one value. However, to use parameters, you should be using Fluent inside Workbench. Another option could be to set this as an expression, again only in newer version. You have to set it as a function of iterations or time, depending upon whether the simulation is steady-state or transient. This way, a single case will keep on running and intermediate case and data files can be saved before the expression changes the height.
