Hey! I'm new to Ansys, I'm a mechanical engineer currently working on a CFD project on LMP cars. I have this model of the LMP saved as .IGES file using Solidworks and had it imported in ICEM-CFD. I'm trying to make my model fully closed like a brick with no internal flow ducts and with no tires attached, as my goal is to conduct external flow analysis, so I enclosed the gaps by creating surfaces over the openings. Do I have to be concerned about the hollow spaces inside although my analysis only requires external surfaces, would there be unnecessary mesh grids inside the hollow space's surfaces which would affect time taken for meshing or would it affect my results?
Also, I have tiny spaces which look like gaps in the surfaces, across my model when zoomed in. Is this common with ICEM-CFD's model rendering as the surfaces looked normal without any gaps in surfaces when using Solidworks?
