Hello Everyone,
I'm coming from using Star-CCM+ so this may be a simple question for Fluent folk, but when locally running Fluent is there a way to minimize the residual plot while solving to observe other plots and/or scenes in real time? Thanks, Chris |

You do not need to minimize residuals to view other fields, however, you need to set those up before starting a simulation. In Fluent, don't know how it is in CCM, you can stop at any instant and view the results and start from that point again. Not a good way but handy at times. You can set up Fluent animation where Fluent keeps on updating contours, or vectors, or xy-plots with iterations or time-step in their own windows; you can use multiple. Or there is an option called Fluent As A Server wherein you can post-process or monitor a case while it is running in batch mode.
