Difference 2D wedge flow vs. 2D axisymmetric cone flow
Hello,
I want to simulate the flow around a 3D hypersonic glide vehicle. As I am new to CFD I want to begin with the 2D simulation of a wedge and a 2D axisymmetric cone flow (later I want to do the same in 3D to generate a flow field). I understand that the 3D flowfield around a axisymmetric body like a cone is different to the 3D flowfield of a wedge. I am told that there is a difference in 2D aswell, which I don't understand as to my understanding both look the same if you look at them from the side view (like a triangle). I would be very glad if someone could answer this likely very trivial question to me. Regards |
