Hello everybody!
I want to simulate the effect of a heater in an installation space. In comparison to the other components the heater is quit thin. I think I'll get in trouble with the mesh if I model the heater as a solid body. Therefore, I thought I can add the power of the heater on a surface. For a solid body I found the possibility to add a source term (as shown here: https://youtu.be/3FyycLuQxE4?t=1183) Is there also an option to add a source term to a created named section surface? I didn't find an option for this. Thanks in advance. Best regards! |

Sources are applied to cells. For boundaries, you can apply flux, which is same as source. Since field values are constant within a cell, you can also identify cells within which the heater would exist, if included, and add source terms only in those cells.
