Water-solid DPM: negative impact angle

Dear all:

I conducted a water-solid DPM simulation in a multistage-centrifugal pump and extracted impact information (angle, speed, hits number) through UDF to study the erosion results. Questions are:

1. When I use the sliding mesh method (for the rotating impeller), I got negative impact angles on the blades. Does anyone know what's going one there?

2. When I use the frozen rotor method (for the rotating impeller), the erosion results are fine. But the frozen rotor method has its own problem with the pump, especially for multistage pumps. I would prefer sliding mesh if the problem was solved.

Thank you for the help!
