Hello everyone i have been trying to do an analyse with 3 coper pipe (check addd pics.) which carrying water and there is air outside. here are the requirements
temp of water is 25
air is at the room temp.
upper side of pipes gets 1000 W/m^2 heat
outer sides of pipes loosing heat through natural convection and radiation
and i am interested about water output temp and pipe outer temp.
i have created geo. as shown but i dont know how to arrange setup i need help guys

whats the point of air zone if you have boundary condition 1000 W/m^2 on pipe surfaces?

boundry conditions are not completely given i am just trying make it like real life conditions 1000 W/m^2 is just applied the upper side of pipe lower side still losing heat via convection and radiation

if you want to apply heat flux as boundary condition, you don't need external air in that region

on the other hand you may use volumetric heat source instead, in that case you can have air zone connected to pipes:
1. to some part of pipe directly
2. to shell with artificial thickness, adjusted to part of pipe

Hello,

I would recommend to do few basic tutorials in heat transfer to understand the set up method. It will accelerate your learning curve.
