FLUENT defining weird face zones, causing problems?

Hi all,
I am working on modeling heat transfer and fluid flow in a plate-fin heat exchanger (aluminum structure with separate channels for air and steam flow). Air flows through the triangular channels and steam through the rectangular channels. Capture.jpg I have successfully (I think) created and meshed the geometry, and have defined named selections for all inlets, outlets, domains and interfaces. However, when I open setup, I receive a series of errors of the following type: Warning: materials in neighbor cell threads (11 and 9) of interior zone 1 are of different types (air and aluminum). This problem MUST be fixed before solving! After some digging, I noticed that fluent seems to have defined an incorrect face zone, shown below. Capture2.jpg Is this what is causing my problem? Can I remove it (or separate the cells that make it up and merge them with their respective correct zones)? Any help would be greatly appreciated and I can provide any more info as needed! |
