Hi,

I am trying to simulate a shock tube flow in Fluent workbench with the driver and driven sections modeled (as two fluid zones), separated by a diaphragm (BC type: interior, ID=3).

I expect high temperature of the test gas in the driven section and have therefore invoked a dissociation model with full reaction chemistry in that zone. The modeled gas is dissociated air (with 5 constituent species). On the driver end, the gas is helium.

However, when I initialize the model, an error shows up saying: 'Species are not solved in neighbor cell threads (6 and 7) of interior zone 3'

Can somebody help me rectify this problem? I tested several things and noticed that if both the zones on either side of the diaphragm are set to the same gas (either helium or dissociated air on both sides), the error does not arise. Also with different gases, if I model one side as helium and the other side as normal undissociated air, the error does not arise. But these are not what I want.

Any leads would be appreciated. Please help.
