VIV on a moving cylinder

Hi guys.
I want to simulate a vortex-induced vibration case on a moving cylinder. I searched the web for tutorials. But all of them were about flow past a stationary cylinder. Is there anyone who knows about this simulation? I will be very grateful if you send me a tutorial link.

Thanks.

If your cylinder moving with uniform velocity then it matter of frame of reference. Stationary and moving cylinder relative to wind will not have any difference. In case of accelerating cylinder, see moving mesh methods. Check for flutter problems.

Hi duri,
In my case, the fluid is the reason for the cylinder movement. I mean, suppose that you've put a cylinder in the ocean. the waves and water's movement causes the cylinder to move. I want to have a sinusoidal velocity at the inlet and simulate the response of the cylinder. In other words, the movement of the cylinder is the result of the simulation and the inlet velocity is a boundary condition.

Please check store separation problems. Same method would work for this case.
