tricha122 is on a distinguished road
Is there any way to create a custom residual for Fluent to track & end the simulation if it is met?

For instance, i have a conjugate heat transfer problem whereby i have a pipe to which i am applying a heat flux distribution onto the outer surface. This pipe is being cooled by oil flowing through on the inner surface.

I'd like Fluent to compare the integral of the heat flux on the outer surface, to m*cp*dT of the fluid dT = Toutlet-Tinlet - i am assuming constant cp.

If the integral of the heat flux minus the energy entering the fluid is within some tolerance, i'd like the simulation to stop.

I havent had much success choosing an energy residual to reliably give me the convergence i am looking for, as i am often changing the heat flux distribution on the surface.

Any thoughts here?

Thanks alot
