Dear All,

My case coverges very well in 1st order accuracy and NOT in 2nd order.

Ansys FLUENT manual says, if there is a convergence issue, try starting in 1st order accuracy and runing some iterations and then changing to 2nd order accuracy to continue to convergence. But when I switch to 2nd order after 100 iterations or (even after total convergence) using 1st order, the residuals shifts up back to where it starts. How do we achieve what FLUENT manual says?

Thank you for any advice.

Of course they jump up because you changed discretization scheme. But that doesn’t mean it restarted from zero. Let it run and see what happens
