I am working on a project in Ansys fluent.
My work is to simulate the flow behavior in a furnace as shown in the image. I need to keep 1gram of coal through inlet -1 & then have to send pressurized air(about 1.5bar) from inlet -2. The air carries the coal into the furnace. I have used DPM injection for coal. (For 0.5sec results in 1 gram of coal into the furnace) How can I send the pressurized air from Inlet -2 after 0.5 sec up to 1.5sec...? Any suggestion would be helpful. Thank you. Furnace.jpg |

Hi,
I have never done this before, but I would assume you could simply run the first section of the simulation with just the coal and then at 0.5s you activate the air flow. You just need to control the number of time steps and change the settings manually. Alternatively you could write an UDF for the inlets. |
