aurum is on a distinguished road
Hi everyone

I am trying to simulate an steady turbulent axisymmetric model of a pipe with a flow of heated gas. (Pipe Diameter ca. 150 mm)
The pipe of aluminum has cooling at bottom half and just bare pipe at top half.

The problem is the velocity etc seems to be calculated well but the
radiation does not seem to calculate.

No matter how hot i make the input gas in the heat transfer from gas to solid seems to be negligible.
(e.g. gas 900 K , cooling 320 K, but after calculation all the pipe seems to be around 320-360 K range)

I think it may be an error with the boundary condition,
I have set it as an interface/wall/interior in my meshing program (gambit)
which comes up as wall in fluent with a shadow at the meeting point btw fluid and solid.

any knowledge and help will be very very much greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
