Hi guys,

I've been doing some LES recently and have reached a stage where I'd like to export my data every (few) time steps. I've chosen CFF as it seems to be quite space efficient, a crucial factor since we are limited on storage on our HPC system.

I've been hitting these errors that cause the simulation to quit recently, checking the output files shows the "std::bad_alloc" type of error - the job always fails during export (ie. some way into saving the export file, it will fail). It doesn't *always* fail, but it tends to fail by the 2nd or 3rd export.

I've checked that I've given the job enough RAM (it only uses 25% of the RAM I allocated), and there is more than enough storage space left in our drive. I've never encountered this error in Fluent before, and it seems neither has most of the internet?

Does anybody know what the cause could be?

For reference, here is a sample of what the job output shows:
