Formula 1 Car Front Wing High Residual Analysis

Hello,

I'm simulating a multi-element F1 car front wing in ground effect. I'm using velocity inlet, pressure outlet, symmetry for top and side planes and finally a moving ground as boundary conditions. I managed to have validated results for certain ground clearances and my residuals were around 1e-4. I wanted to decrease the ground clearance and since I decreased the ground clearance, the velocity gradients under the wing increased a lot and this made it an unsteady analysis.

When I try to run this simulation as unsteady, the residuals decrease but it would take so long to get a meaningful result from it. When I try to run this simulation as steady, the residuals are about 1e+0 which is too high. I already did some local grid refinements and face sizing refinements too but I wasn't able to solve the issue. Do you have any ideas about how to solve this problem?

Best Regards,
Metin
