Modeling a convergent divergent bell nozzle
 
Hello all, I am analyzing a convergent divergent bell nozzle and I have tried different models during analysis i.e., starting from inviscid then laminar and following with k-epsilon and k-omega. I am a bit new to CFD and I wanna know that which model and then sub model like standard, RNG etc. will be adequate for my simulations ?

I'd say stick with k-w SSt model.

Thank you Indra. But can you please help me with an adequate reason for sticking to k-w SST? So that I can defend my choice properly.

The model that is adequate for your case is the one that is adequate for your case. You've already run them. You can assess whether or not they are adequate (by just looking). If they're not adequate, then you can resume your search for another model or whatever you think is needed to make it adequate. Basically, define adequacy in your own words and use that as a measure of your own work.


If you are so new to CFD and fluid dynamics that you really have no clue what is or is not adequate, well then it doesn't matter which model you use.
