Hello,

I have simulated the fluid flow in a domain consisting of around 9m cells on a hpc cluster. I tried to open the case and data files on my pc and figured out I even didn't have enough RAM for postprocessing. So now I'm trying to do the post processing remotely. I defined a contour to be displayed and to later take a picture of using :
Code:
/display/set/contours/surfaces/......
and then :
/display/contour/velocity-mag
I also restored a previously saved viewing properties file and took a picture of the contour using:
Code:
/display/views/restore-view...
/display/save-picture
And now: the colors are washed out as if there is too much brightness in the saved contour.
I used to be able to fix this problem by turning off lighting effects from gui, and now I'm trying to do the same thing from this tui menu:
Code:
/display/set/lights/lights-on no
but when i save a picture again, the picture is still washed out and that lights-on setting that I mentioned turns itself back on. What am I doing wrong here? Or even can I save this contour in a better way (like a data file) to be imported into software like tecplot etc. ?

Any helps would be appreciated,
Mohammad

p.s. I'm using Ansys fluent 17.0 in case that matters.

So I uploaded my journal file on the cluster(which runs Fluent 19.2) and it saved the contour picture as intended. Looks like its a bug in Fluent version 17.0 (The version that I have locally)!
But now I have another small problem: The contour colormap does not have labels in the saved picture:

I tried using /display/set/color-map, but this only changes the colors. Any ideas??
