I connected 4 batteries in parallel and set a discharge rate of 5c.
5c was input to the specified discharge rate in the battery model. I expected 12 minutes (60 divided by 5) as the total time because the discharge rate is 5c. But the result came in 48 minutes. My guess is that the first cell is discharged to 5c (12 minutes) and then the second cell is discharged (12 minutes) ... and it seems that it took a total of 48 minutes. Is this behavior correct in parallel-connected battery systems? If I want to discharge the system to 5c, should I multiply 5 by 4, which is the number of batteries connected in parallel, to set 20? |
