Drag Force Calculation
 

Hii i am trying to find the drag force on savonius turbine using 2d transient system. As the turbine is rotating constantly and the projected area is changing what should I put in reference values of area?

The drag force acting on the turbine changes with rotation. If you are using varying
projected area you can't compare the coefficient with time. I would suggest you to use
planform area to non-dimensionalize the drag force for understanding the dynamics.
