Dear all,

I'm trying to simulate a dryer that has a perforated plate fitted into it to distribute the air flow. The thing is that, each hole of this plate has a flow deflector. So the air flow in perpendicular to one face of the plate, and in the other face the flow is majoritary tangential (the dryer is cilyndrical).

I'm doing an extensive research in the literature but couldn't find the better way to model this. Constructing the geometry including the holes is unfeasible (about 10800 holes). I'm searching a way to use the porous media approach but the main problem here is that the flow direction after the plate it's not perpendicular to the plate's plan due to these deflectors.

Have you ever faced something like this or have any idea of the best approach?

Thank you guys for reading this!!!
