I'm currently working on a natural ventilation problem in ANSYS Fluent with the k-e turbulence model. I'm currently thinking about using the Enhanced Wall Treatment options for the Near-Wall treatment.

What is Enhanced Wall Treatment? What would the benefits of this wall treatment have over say standard wall functions?

Thank you,

Check Ansys Fluent Theory Guide here, https://www.afs.enea.it/project/nept...th/node101.htm

As I understand, the Enhanced Wall treatment combine the Standard Wall Function with a model for viscous sublayer. This means it can be used in case y+<5.
