Hello! I want to simulate a section of a 2D channel using periodic inlet and outlet surfaces to obtain a fully developed turbulent channel flow.
I have set a periodic BC in the outlet using the inlet as the shadow zone. However, when I do it, the inlet and outlet sections are removed from the BC tree. How can I impose a velocity inlet and a pressure outlet BC in this case? Should I impose any pressure drop along the channel for the solution to converge? Thanks |

In Fluent there is a periodic conditions tab where you specify the conditions. You can specify the pressure gradient or the mass flow rate.
