Why does the upper shockwave move aft with trailing edge deflection?

Hi, I’ve noticed that when I increase the trailing edge deflection of my 0012, the shock moves further towards the trailing edge, but why?

Also, how does the lower shock just disappear?

Flow is Transonic

Just one thought here, Kuta Condition which states that the pressure has to be consistent at the trailing edge.

Hi Nick, thanks, I’ll look into the Kutta condition

It looks like you have slip walls on the upper and lower boundaries and when you change the tail geometry, more flow goes through the upper surface of the airfoil and less through the lower.

Hi LuckyTran, about the slip condition, I put no slip as the boundary condition?
