How does this contour plot show lift is generated?

Hi, can someone please explain how lift is generated from this contour plot of pressure please?

Also, what is that circulating region at the leading edge too?

The differential pressure above and below the airfoil is what generates lift. The large region of low pressure (blue region) above the blade is much larger then the region below. This differential in the pressure will generate lift in the vertical direction.

The large pressure region at the leading edge of the blade is referred to as the "stagnation point." If you look at a velocity contour this point should not be recirculating, but rather will be close to zero velocity.

See the attached picture for more details.
