Greetings everyone,
I am working on dilute sand slurry flow in pipes (0.001 v/v) with water as the carrier phase. The issue I am having is that there is increased sand settling observed ONLY at the boundary layer (even above critical settling velocity) The turbulence model I am using is the k-epsilon model, RNG, Dispersed flow. My Y+ is around 15. The sand size is 0.0003 m. The first layer thickness in my mesh is 0.0006 m. My underlying question is regarding the C_mu value to tackle to spike in turbulent kinetic energy at the Boundary layers. Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks, and kind regards. |
