Boundary conditions - top part of a VOF scheme

Hi guys,
I am trying to simulate a droplet breaking up in a 2D VOF scheme.
My setup is a droplet falling in the x-direction (with gravity in the x-direction) and an axis boundary condition at the bottom (for symmetry), a velocity inlet, and a pressure outlet. For the top part of my setup, I want to make it so that it doesn't have an effect on the scheme. I tried making it a pressure outlet, but I would then have a velocity inlet and a pressure outlet at the same cell in the top left corner, which messes with my convergence. Then, I tried making the top part a slip wall, but that made it so that my droplet doesn't deform. What could I change it to so that it remains open while not getting any convergence issues. For reference, I have attached a figure of my domain.
Thanks!
