Modeling Valve as a porous medium

Hi All,
I have the pipe network model and I want to use CFD to solve it. The pipe network contains multiple valves and I know the Cv values of each valve. How to convert Cv value to equivalent resistance value in porous medium (the working fluid is Ar at low pressure) Regards, Suneel
