Fluent combining MHD Methods Issues

Hi everyone!

I am trying to use the MHD module to simulate a cylinder with a known current applied through one of the faces and flowing all the way to the other face.

Since the current density is a parameter that I can manipulate and the only magnetic field in my problem is the one induced by the current, I decided to use the Electric Potential method, but I was not seeing any Lorentz Force nor Magnetic Field being different from zero at the end of the simulations, and since I have read on this post:

https://forum.ansys.com/forums/topic...module-issues/

that is what you can expect while using the Electric Potential method with a 0-value external magnetic field applied.

Since I am interested on the effects the Lorentz Force due to the current and the induced magnetic field can have on the fluid flow, my question is:

if I switch to the Magnetic Induction method, while preserving the 0-value external magnetic field, how can I specify the current flowing through the boundaries?

I was trying to use a DEFINE_PROFILE UDF and apply it to the zone near the faces but I am not sure that is the correct way to proceed.

Thank you!
