Markwright is on a distinguished road
Hi, im new here and im new in ansys fluent
I want to share my doubt.
Im trying to simulate a packed bed for thermal energy storage using porous medium option. My tank is a simple cilynder.. I described in the geometry three zones (using sketch+ extrude): two for input/output and in the middle the porous zone. I enabled non thermal equilibrium + transient model because i want to obtain the temperature profile during the charging phase. So i fixed in boundary condition the inlet velocity and the temperature of the flow and in the outlet the ambient pressure and temperature, as well as with patch i fixed the initial temperature of the solid in porous zone. My problem is that if i control my contour it seems like the flow do not pass in porous zone as well as i have no heat exchange (Temperature is maximum in inlet and then fall to zero in a small area in the inlet-porous interior).
What is the problem in your opinion?
